Airports and passports...and worries

The Spanish language has turned out to be very interesting to learn. In many ways, it is very similar to French, which has made it very easy for me to pick up the grammar on the days that I actually put in the effort to study it...I've been pretty busy with school, which must be quite frustrating for my tutor. Our conversations pretty much go like this:

This is pretty much my face the entire lesson

Her: Okay, so how do you say "I will go to the airport to pick up my passport?"

Me: Ummm... (one minute later)...Yo voy a ir al aeroport...

Her: Aeropuerto

Me: Oh haha...yeah I confused it with French...por recuir mi pasaporte?

Her: Where did you get recuir from?

Me: ...French?

On the flip side, I find myself saying 'si' a lot when I'm speaking French (not that I ever really speak French). I really enjoy learning Spanish, though I wish I had more time to pick it up. My tutor suggested that I listen to more Spanish songs in order to become more familiar, so I have been listening to Spanish worship songs. One of my favourite worship songs is 'Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus', because I have a more personal connection to it. Here is the Spanish version, it just makes me so happy, because whenever I hear it, I am reminded of how great God is in terms of enabling me to go on this trip.

On a more logistical (and worriful) note, I recently emailed my contacts from SIM, who told me that they wouldn't be able to book a ticket for me to go to Bolivia until I had raised enough money to meet the expected budget. So as an update: please continue to pray for the fundraising process, and that I will trust in God's faithfulness throughout this time, as I do still have a bit of a ways to go.

Tambien, gracias por leer esta Red, y tu me dices si tu tienes de prias! (derrr...still a long way to go haha). Okay, I Google translated 'prayer', and apparently its supposed to be 'las peticiones de oracion'. Good thing to remember!
